I think he meant the layout/format is similar to many of the webdesigns out there XD.

I like your navigation buttons near the top =D! Maybe you can spice up the middle section of the website with a different layout design <3.

it looks good i like your background it does look similar to other websites but dont let that stop you just because it looks similar doesn't mean that yours looks worse i, i personaly think yours looks better than most out there. its simple and easy to read only thing i would recommend doing is making the status bar at the top a little darker as well as pick a diferent set of fonts i dont like the one your using but thats just personal taste also the transparent border why not make them rounded. css3 would make it look really good if you make them rounded and smaller.
