Robotculator Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Hello! I just want to know how can I update my current rAthena to the latest released. Will SVN checkout overwrite my current rAthena? If that so, I don't want that to happen My current SVN has way too many personal configurations already that I do not want to change. So any guide I can carefully update my rAthena withour compromising with personal changes? Quote
Docubo Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 windows? linux? Update your svn instead of Checkout. http://rathena.org/wiki/Installation_(Debian)#Updating_Existing_Code for windows use turtoise svn, rightclick inside the folder -> svn update Quote
MarkZD Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 (edited) Obviously as you'll update, it wont change those files that you changed previously, so you need to check them manually if they're in the update, to make a consistency with the news. Take care with reverting svn as it may delete your files even if you changed them and always backup. Edited May 23, 2012 by MarkZD Quote

So is there a way in each rathena revision where I can see the files that rAthena changed in their new revisions? Honestly i have trouble understanding SVNs. Does each released revision has each on rar file, then each rar file has changelog that says what it changed? Then if i am a urser of revision 1613.rar I can easily update my rAthena to 1618.rar just by seeing each changelogs? Thanks in advance and more power. Quote
MarkZD Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 (edited) Maybe there's some way in SVN, but as I never tried it before, I don't know. You can just use the tracker to check as there's all the log from all revisions. http://sourceforge.n...ac/rathena/log/ Just, click on Chgset link that you want to see, but you'll need to look one by one since yours version till the desired one.
