[ Help ] 2011-11 -22 Client resolution problem.

Hi, Is there anyone has a fix for 2011-11-22 client?

Whenever i change the client resolution size it goes back to default resolution which is " 640 x 480 x16 ".

I have tried to patch: this " Setup_HKLM_to_HKCU " with my client and setup and still nothing even tried without it.

I have tried different patch still got nothing.

I have tried different clients 2011-11- 22, 2011-12-07, 2012-01-20, and 2012-03-07 still same result.

Tried the latest LUA, and Latest LUB. i even tried to use rytech's decompiled lua for the said clients.

I have tried so many different Setup exe. ( Setup.exe are in the download link provided )

I found the solution to the problem!

Without patch [Data] Read Data Folder First

Client search:

OptionInfo.lua in path:  \SaveData\..
OptionInfo.lub in path:  \System\..

With patch [Data] Read Data Folder First

Client search:

OptionInfo.lua in path:  \data\SaveData\..
OptionInfo.lub in path:  \data\System\..

If you apply patch [Data] Read Data Folder First, then files should be placed in the following paths:

\data\SaveData\OptionInfo.lua
\data\System\OptionInfo.lub

Otherwise, files should be placed in these paths:

\SaveData\OptionInfo.lua
\System\OptionInfo.lub

And it doesn't seem to work..

if you're diffing your client just leave alone the " Setup_HKLM_to_HKCU ", and try using the old setup if its client dating 2011-10-xx and below but if its 2011-11-xx and later then the blue one the right one cause it works for me.

You mean you can change the screen resolution at first and then when you 're-start' the game the screen resolution is back to normal?

Maybe you should delete "OptionInfo.lua" inside 'savedata' folder then try to setup the screen resolution with old setup.exe.

I guess some files should be posted outside the GRF. or, you can simply edit data\optioninfo.lua and change the settings there
