help Stable Client for r15832

im a 3ceam user, until i read theyre gonna be closing the project and there will be no more update. so im planning on switching to rathena. i dont mind a wipe, were done talking about it.

what troubles me is the setup specifically client side again the hexing and stuff

im using...

r15832 (probably the latest i believe)

rathena basic (by calciumkid along with its default client Rathena.exe)

2011-11-22a RagRE.exe

all seem to work fine with default Rathena.exe, but i want a hexed client of the most stable version. after sometime searching i think its 2011-11-22 or 2011-11-02 as judas suggested from other discussions.

i tried hexing with shin's diff patcher.exe & its diff generator

but when i try to run it it keeps popping an error message like...

everytime i click it.

and..

Failed to authenticate. (5011)

everytime i log in.

i know its been answered for sometime now, but i cant find a decent one to fix this.

my clientinfo.xml is look like this.

also. does rathena has all 3rd job character skills working? what about kagerou and oboro?

When diffing your client uncheck "Load LUA Before LUB" if your using dis.

Also run your client in Administrator Mode.

P.S. You have to be 110% what client your using at all times, you need to edit mmo.h properly.

i already tried both lua before lub and vise versa.

my client runs in admin mode with compatibilities

i know what client i have and change them in mmo.h already. still no luck. T_T

try changing your editing your xml file.

change this

<version>28</version>

to

<version>26</version>

and also make your your using the right login port.

okay trying out the recommendations now. im using port 55555 since the default 6900 is occupied by the current server im running wiith. but if it could fix the error i dont mind shutting down for a bit.

im using r198 Lua with 2011-11-22 Lub.

downloading that data folder now....

EDIT:

tried out the recommendations its still the same.

change the ports to default 6900,6121, and 5121

change the version from 28 to 26

applied the r198 lua & data folder translation

still getting

Failed to Authenticate. (5011) & Reject from the Server. (30)

Still sounds like you have a bad match of data/lua for your client.

Is this a GRF or your Rag Data folder, if you don't mind me asking?

i already tried the decompiled version from Rytec

it doesnt work for me. both v1 and v2

i downloaded the 2011-11-22a here http://supportmii.com/ro1/Clients/

and hexed them using shin's diff patcher + plugins.

now im using 2011-03-15a same version as the provided client from rathena basic data folder

its all good and such but it has a bit of delay. i really want to get my hands on this 2011-11-22a as so they say the most stable one.

UPDATE:

1.

2011-11-22 client works for me now, by adding the right packet in trunk/db/packet_db.txt (in where did i find it, im not so sure anymore after reading dozens of related post, but im sure i found it here in rathena)

and converting my client from data folder to .grf this fixed the (Failed to Authenticate Error)

now my problem is....

* everytime i open storage via @storage command. i get window error. and if i tried opening it with kafra npc normally. no window pops out.

* client resolution doesnt change after setting up either red setup.exe or the new blue/ghostring like setup.exe

has anyone have their 2011-11-22 working? mind sharing some? could help me a lot. thank Ra

youre using the wrong lua file, it should be supporting the client you are using. r198 support latest client and not the one you using right now. and for the port make sure you port forward it into your modem/router. make sure you have also the right packet for that client.

is not meant for 2011-11-02 or 2011-11-22 clients?? i thought i read something that you need latest lua files + same version lub files. if so can you point me where could i find old lua file versions?

as for my ports. its forwarded already.

does the packet_db.txt provided by rathena is not good enough?

yeah i notice it. and the provided one is not working.

ive been around testing 22 and 02 but has the same error like

* body relocation not working properly

* skill descriptions are in gebbirish

* resolution cannot be change by setup.exe

* and error when opening kafra storage by either @storage command or normal kafra option.

so its either use the old working client but with delay or use the recent ones but need some fixing. just point me in the right direction i have all the time in the world to fix it.

i manage to make some improvements.
