Question

2011-06 clients onwards have the /web command in-game.(E.g: /web eathena.net/board)

Is it possible to make it an atcommand? If so, could I request someone to make/post a diff for it?

This would be very useful for everyone. Could be used for forum events, server news and etc.

I guess it's because /web has a GM level requirement. Just like /hide

So normal players (Level 0) can't really use the said command. - Not true, normal players can use it too.

I'm also thinking maybe he wants to iterate the command to all players on a specific map,

force-opening a website right from the client itself. Just my thoughts though.

/web is all clientside it wont be sent to the server so that restriction thing wont work well with it.

--- Removed, I just tried with a normal account, and for some weird reason, it worked.

Now only this second option would be a probable reason.

you didnt seem to get my point.

even if you are able to make an @command that and restrict it to other players, they can still use /web instead.

This is clientside unless you disable it in the client by hexing the /web which is also make your @command gets buggy/unusuable.

You're missing my point as well, I was thinking of a GM-issued command, which would force-open a browser on ALL players (on a certain map perhaps).

Of course, utilizing /web command. I know Vanguard had this feature, and what's good is, it uses your default browser. Not IE.

i think we are both missing his point. Why don't we just wait for his specific reason why he wants to have this as @command?

This would be the exact reason why I want an atcommand for /web.

Btw, thanks for replying, Earthlingz and Conflicts. And sorry for the late reply.
