Pancake Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I don't know how to analyze packets, and I am in need of urgent help. My server is currently under attack, and I need to know the largest packet used by the RO client, so that I can drop anything larger than that. Thankyou in advance <3 Quote
xXAkatsukiUchihaXx Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 is cloudfare any good? CalciumKid!? Quote
Brian Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 It's good for protecting a website. It acts like a proxy https://www.cloudflare.com/overview It won't work for RO though. Quote
xXAkatsukiUchihaXx Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 So Brian for websites: Cloudflare vps: https://harmonize.it/ xD! Quote
Asura Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 Hi Everyone, CloudFlare is useless because there are resolvers which just trace it back to your site; so it doesn't protect it at all, however, it might be able to speed up the load time of your site. @Pancake: Use IPTables and drop all malformed packets. xXAkatsukiUchihaXx Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 then what would be the best website security? out of curiosity... Quote
