Client fails to connect to server after choosing "select character" and various other problems

Client when logged in, everything works fine but the esc button doesnt work to display ur options and when in options -> character select, instead of showing the character select screen it jumps straight to "failed to connect to server" and prompts me to log in again

client version: 2011-05-17bRagexeRE

do u have check mmo.h and packetdb? also dont forget to update ur LUA :)
