NPC TO RESET OR RESTORE RENTAL ITEM PERIOD

my server had bunch of item mostly are rental items, now then,  is there a way that player simply just talk to an npc and give that npc an item and the npc can reset the rental period?,

the npc will restore back the rental time, example the item have 7 days of rental period, and player had already use 6 days, which means player still have 1 more days before the rental period is up and the item is gone.

now, using this npc, it will reset player item rental period back to day 1, which means player have another additional 7 days to use that rental item.

or  making the whole thing simpler just use a useable item to reset the rental period, without the need of player to talk to an npc.

player just need to choose what item he/she wish to reset the rental period within his/her inventory only.

I suggest you make NPC that can exchange the rental Item 1 to 1. ^{Not hype, but working.}

1. Yes you can do it. Get the idea from giving Freebies there is a time period and you will get the item .
2. This time do it single item each instead of whole package .
3. If he/she select this item from your option/menu/switch .
4. He will get the new item with the time period then you will delete what he got now . Just add a payment method or something in exchange . 
5. You can play with the script and optimize or you can even add a delay or special day that player can also use it in a specific day and delay so player can't abuse it
    

Thats a simple idea i can give it to you..
