Adding a Name to an item - NPC instead of CHARACTER

Any idea as to how to add a name on an item using another name instead of the character?

For instance my character's name is character1, but I want the produced item to be named as character2, which is the name of the NPC that produced that item.

Docs says that name must be existing character but give it a try:

getnameditem(<item id>,"<name to inscribe>"|<char id>);

And for the npc name use:

strnpcinfo(1) ;
