Copying a map with BrowEdit

Question

Posted

Well, I just copied a map into BrowEdit with its virtually identical lightmaps, and pasted it into a larger structure so I could work on some areas I'd like to add on the map, so much more so when you're moving the camera and the character stays a black vacuum on the screen, follow the video below for better resolution:

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

BrowEdit Versions used to work on the map:

586/620

That's the infamous Cliping Effect:

3) How fix the Cliping Effect ?

Operation to make each time you modify your maps when done.

You'll need a hexadecimal editor for realize this. Example : http://www.pspad.com/en/ (freeware)

Select your *.rsw files and open it with your hexadecimal editor :

fin1.jpg

Look to 3rd column, first line. Here 0201, modify to 0109 and save !

Don't forget : BrowEdit always saves your map in 0x201 version. Each time you'll save your map, you must restart this manipulation.

Yeah thanks i had the exact problem

Ive made a couple maps and i let this pass as a graphics card error and thatll itll only be my problem, but after making one of my larger maps, this clipping problem started occuring EVERYWHERE on the LOWER altitude areas of my map, i thought maybe i could just lift it all but of course it wasnt gonna be that easy... anyways thanks for this lmao
