Ive never seen this yellow screen thing before.
But if you are copying from another map you could always try setting the water height to -50, youll have to raise your ground and objects, but thats pretty easy and doesnt take much time. Make sure you save in 586 for the last bit, if its not that then I'm not sure whats causing it for you tbh.

Thanks a lot for your advices. ^^Layout is on-point. As others said, you didn't just pull models and textures from every city in the game, which is good! That is what separates good mappers from mediocre ones. Here's a quick 'no-brainer' guide for a one-size-fits-all lightmap, which would really help add that finishing touch. You ready for this?
First light: Put it up in the middle of the map, high in the air, big enough to cover the whole thing. Intensity should be 127, light falloff should be 0.01. Make sure it doesn't cast shadows. This is the light that makes your map not pitch-black.
Second light: If you mentally divide your map into four quadrants, put this light somewhere high up in the bottom-left one, but not right at the corner of the map. Set the intensity to 100, make sure it's big enough to cover the whole map. Light falloff should again be 0.01. Make sure this one casts shadows- That's what it's there for.
Now calculate lights, and -bam-, that is literally all you need to do for to get basic shadows on 99% of your maps, ever. Cool, huh?
Bonus points: Put down some canopy models right on the floor, and calculate the lights. When the shadows are down, delete these- You'll be left with that cool canopy effect that they have in Payon in-game. (If you ever looked at Payon without shadows, you'd be surprised how much of it is just empty space.)
I am sure it will need so much practicing, 'cause it is not look such great ^0^

If you want you can always smooth your lightmaps.
Generate > Smooth Lightmaps
I do this about 1 or 2 times depending on how dark and 'rigid' my shadows look.
For me it just looks nice for the shadows to be smoother looking.

I like that everything matches. It has a 'feel' to it, you didnt just place random models all over the map. That's a + in my book. It doesn't look like you have any lights though, but don't worry lights were the last thing I learned in BE as they can be tedious. Keep up the work. I like the little fenced in area for the Peco, thats pretty cute.

I know your problem. Check your resolution settings in your ro.xml or wahtever your browedit is reading from.
Tell is what that is.
Make sure its a COMMON resolution.

Here's the link:

The original author is davven. I'm still waiting on a reply from him though.
He has not been active for some time.
But I do hope you get in contact with him and are able to use the map!

Oh okay okay, I restarted, it's working now @Haziel
Thanks for the pro tip!

I can tell you that I did not make a map using Yggdrasil's models. I will see if I can find something out for you, I do vaguely remember a map similar to what you are explaining though.

Firstly I want to say. Welcome to mapping! I hope you enjoy mapping as much as the next person.
Secondly I want to point you in this direction as far as your mapping adventure beginshttp://rathena.org/board/topic/53466-guide-syoujis-browedit-tutorial-videos/

If it's free to play and still online why not simply download their client and extract the map from their GRF?
Or try to find the person who created the map and if its a paid map buy it.
I really hate seeing people say stuff like 'extract it from the grf'
That might have been paid work. :|

The person he linked, the Deviantart account..that is the original creator of the sprites.
And that's who you should be asking for the sprites from really.

Ive always had this issue if the water is too close to the 'land' it will show through the land.
Esp if you zoom out. I mean I know you are an experienced mapper and had never seen this issue before.
But it is normal for me, I just make it to where I cannot view the water, or I will lower the water for a time to take screenshots.
Maybe someone has a fix and can enlighten us.
But I just wanted to let you know you're not the only one who suffers from this lol.

This is actually really interesting looking.

That map was never released for a free download.
Just throwing that out there. -
Have pictures in game??
Not yet, I might take some though. I will probably start doing that as well as videos of some of the maps.

Oh wow! Its beautiful! I love the warm colors so much! really love the roof tops!
Thank you! Although i'll have to give props to my customer for the rooftops she knew exactly what color she wanted so she took the task of coloring them!
I colored the trees!
I personally love this map, not to boast or anything, but its one of my better ones imo.
I just wish I had more time to do more with it, but there is always next year to have an even better one!
Thanks Adel!

Is it supposed to belive or believe?
I clicked on the link to see it 'live' th only thing I dont like is your buttons give no indication of what they are for
-
At least you found a solution.
Usually if you make sure your water height is -50 and you save in 586 you wouldn't have the black tile issue.
But thanks for showing the other way of you fixing it. Thats good to know of another solution.

Ya know this is my map that you edited and are selling along with t he script.
Whilst I understand that you are PROBABLY just selling the script and map together, it really bothers me that you did not even discuss with me about this since it is MY map.

Did you actually open the txt file and edit it so that it will read where your data.grf is?

If you are ever confused about an effect number in an official map, usually you can open it in brow edit and go to edit mode > effects edit and select the bulb for the effect, click enter and a box will pop up and tell you the effect and the number. In this case it's effect number 358.
