Client /showname Command not changing display~

So I've tried a few solutions to this problem, most of them were completely dead ends. I tried changing the optioninfo.lua and optioninfo.lub showname = from 1 to 0 in as many optioninfo's I could find lol but it didn't change a single thing.

It is the last issue I have run into so far with the basics.

I used xdiff to diff my client on version 2013-07-03a

Try nemo patcher instead of xdiff, It comes with all the patches you will need, with /showname i personally have to type that as i login in to game and i see the norm,
