How come?

Hi rathena..

Does any of you guys know what's wrong with my grf?..

It's like this:

All custom items are working properly, but then when i try adding a new custom item, for example, custom wing,

it will work properly, but those previous custom items that are working properly will be the ones to get error..

Hope someone could help me with this..

huh i remember i had a simillar problem

this is what i did

 

i made 2 grfs, #1 and #2, i moved all sprites and so on the grf #1, then i leaved all data folder with its txt files on the grf #2, this because the grf that updates mys erver is the #2, so when i update it, it won't take too much time to update with the patcher

 

then i ensured that my DATA.INI reads first my grf #2, why? because it has all txt files that recognize every sprite and so on, that way i can edit the sprites and so on

 

soooo at the end, make sure your DATA.INI reads first the grf that has the txt files to make sure thay are being read first and display the spries as it should be lol

 

hmm also take a close look to the idnum2 and num2 txt files, you will get errores or a grf  idna buggy if you repeat ids for sprites lol

which grf editor do you use? i use 'GRF Editor'

this one:

when you load a sprite from your desktop or any other folder and then you remove the sprite or file, your grf will get damaged or error which may explain what you are experimenting

 

i would suggest, add custom sprites and so on, then save directly before changng the directory of each sprite/file o:

hehe don't worry, any grf editor tool is good as long as you know ho to use it, i personally like this one

I did what you've advice,

My developer adviced the same thing, but...

I tried making another grf, but what happens was...

All the custom items on the 1st grf became apple..lol

and the knife and cotton shirt became X..

men this is confusing..

I tried looking for the DATA.INI but my Developer told me it' on the Harmony..

I dont know what to do next..

I've been doing this for a year now but this is the first time i've experienced this kind of error..

oh lol you use harmony, i don't have experience with it

 

yeah you have to carefully edit the grf when using harmony, because somehow it will block it

 

maybe you did the grf well, but harmony is not allowing it

 

hmm you will have to test with an offline server, to ensure that the grf you made was working good

 

if it was working good, then it's harmony issue
