Help. I cant figure this out

Ok so the problem is I have install thor patcher into my webhost and its connect properly but how do I make patches for it and what is a patch exactly??

Example I have installed 60 new custom items into my server.. would I be able to put a patch for them to download so my thor patcher will download them into my server so players will just use thor patcher??
