So, just like the vending skill, you MUST have the items that you want to Sell/Buy. The only way around this, would be for a menu to pop up, and you select which item you want to vend (even if you don't have it), then give the player 1 of that item, so they can use it for this purpose, however that just leads to exploiting, because they can just warp away after having got the item.
