Character variable returning an undefined value

Well, I have a code like this

expred = pc_readregistry(sd,"expred",3);

and whenever I compile, it returns an undefined value.

 

Is there something wrong with my syntax or what?

 

And if you can just help me how to give an exp reduction per variable

example formula

total exp gained = total exp gained - expred
