Client setup help needed!

Im sorry to have to post what will prob be another post already answered somewhere else. I have searched and searched. I have been at this for 2 weeks now and just cant seem to get it working. I have used everything from judas recommended client and setup, although I fail to see where the actual setup instructions are, anyways. I start with the fresh client, copy the data files to the RO folder, patch with kro lite first then renewel lite second, I have the ragexe in the RO folder as well, i make the grf with the data folder ive dl, and the stable lubs are in the data folder when i do the grf, ive edited client xml and the data ini, the only errors i get from the server are warnings about item sell something. Im at a loss but do not want to give up on this. If someone could please contact me on skype : deltasrage, i would be most greatfull any help or points in the right direction would be awsome ty.

OK wow. Not sure what i did but its working now, except i can't seem to get the setup options to save. Im sure ill figure it out though.

ok so I finally have everything working But I noticed when my client logs into server its still seeing it as version 26. i can log in and play and everything seems fine. But to make sure i didnt have issues with version being 26 and server is set to 30 i rebuilt client so it showed 30. well now some of the stuff is in lorean and NONE of the effects actually show the animation. I cast fire bolt and it casts, enemy is hit and takes damage but no actual fire bolt is shown? So I am now curious, when do I actually build the grf? The steps I took to build client are in this order.

 

1. copy lubs into datav3.0 folder.

 

2. copy all contents of dataV3.0 into RO root.

 

3.update patch lite, then update patch renewal.

 

4.Edit clientinfo.xml and data.ini

 

5.build grf

 

6.log in and play.

 

Im kind of thinking with first client i built, the one showing up as ver 26, i updated client with patches then copied over the data folders and lubs. Ive always built the grf last just in case. Im not to worried about it but would like to avoid errors later or worse, corrupted data do to version issues.
