Help with a private server (txt)

Hello people, i'm new on the forum, i've few important question to expose (sorry for my bad english Y.Y)
It's a bit time which i want to play to ragnarok, but i can't find any server if i like (too high rate, too custums,ect) and i want
try to make an private server (hosted on pc ) to play with another friend, but i don't know how i can..
ago i've tried to make server, but i've failed (pre-renewal period), and the guides on eAthena forum are too old..
Then i'm here to ask to you an help, don't know how to do, i'm sad..
Can you give me some tips.. or guide.. or a pre-compiled TXT (it's this for private server ?) at renewal ragnarok?
I'dont know what i must download, and i don't know how compile and let join my friend in the server..

There's a tons of guides out here at rAthena. Try to search and search and you'll definitely find your answer and make it. Some guides are :

Hello, there is no TXT version of rAthena.

You will need to setup mySQL.

 

Download MySQL Workbench 5.2 CE and set it up.

Make a database called 'ragnarok' with the password 'ragnarok'.

Execute main.sql and logs.sql into it.

 

Then, in the source, edit mmo.h to put the correct client date in, and compile.

 

You should be good to go!  If you need more help, there are more guides for the steps I listed, I just kind of simplified it.
