A question about "checkquest"

I would like to know if I can use the following syntax with checkquest in my script:         

if (checkquest(xxxx)>-1<2) {            
}

or          

  if (checkquest(xxxx) ==0 or ==1 {
            }

This way, it won't care if the quest is active or inactive and I don't have to write both situations.

 

 

 

 

Will it work?

|| = OR statement.
