Hello hello,

This is probably a simple problem but i can't seem to find the solution.

I only recently started playing with Browedit. r586.

My object doesn't appear to be affected by lamps. How can i change this?

Thanks kindly

Make sure you have the cast shadows checkbox marked on the lightbulb and ensure the radius stretches all around the model.

Also, if you haven't watched this yet, I highly recommend you do so to get a good background with lights:

Hey I really appreciate the response, and i watched the video too. Thanks!

I'm still unsuccessful though.

Here i put a Sun in the corner [intensity 127, LFalloff 0.01]

Then i put a second lamp in the same corner, below the sun [intensity 127, LFalloff 0.01, Shadows]

Both lamps have a range of 500 and look to cover the textured area.

This is what i get:

The faces of the objects aren't lit up by the lamps, even if i move the light much closer to the object.

I could fidget with the Global Lighting to make the shadows on the faces and the shadows on the floors correspond, but i really want to know how i can light up the side of an object.

What am i doing wrong?

Global Lighting will effect how shadows look across the faces. Shadows cast only in a single direction per lightbulb. You would need multiple shadow lights if you want to try and get multiple shadows on the floor for a single object.

See attached image that demonstrates this
