Hello , i can't connect to my server when i set my WAN IP to my clientinfo.xml.But when i set my LAN ip or 127.0.0.1 , i can connect.I already forwarded my port ,

Heres the setting of my server side.

Char_athena.conf

log-in ip : LAN IP
char-ip : WAN IP

map_athena.conf

char-ip : LAN IP
map-ip : WAN IP

subnet_athena.conf

255.255.255.0:WAN IP:WAN IP

PORT FORWARD SETTING

Port start : 6121 Port End : 6121   { TCP AND UDP}
Port start : 5121 Port End : 5121   { TCP AND UDP}
Port start : 6900 Port End : 6900   { TCP AND UDP}

MY 1ST QUESTION

So heres what i want to know, my friend told me to use 127.0.0.1 in clientinfo.xml when im using my own PC or Network. I will only use WAN ip when im trying to connect outside of my network. So i haven't tried it yet because im out of my town.So i just wanted to ask to you in advanced. So will this gonna work?

MY 2ND QUESTION

So in my conf folder, i have here ladmin_athena.conf , so it has an login_ip that requires me to put an IP address. So do i need to edit that part?

THANKS !

Yes this Will work , you will connect whit your LAN ip to your server , and the Other players who are outside of your router will use the WAN ip to connect. be sure to make 2 differens client. (1 for you and 1 for the other)

if you dont got a Static IP address , you should use no-ip.org too get a static addres ,and be sure to diff FULL DNS SUPPORT in your exe.

pretty easy , if you want to make your server open for Puplic , like friends of you etc , they will need a clientinfo.xml whith your WAN ip in too connect,

and you will need a client whith a clientinfo.xml whith you LAN IP in it
