Hello, I got my server at this point completely running and I've gotten stuck at the client.

I can't seem to get it to connect to my server. It allows me to try to log in but won't accept any passwords or usernames.

The clientinfo has my correct adress but my server shows no connection attempts.

I'm willing to look into professional help if needed. I just want this project finished.

You get a "Failed to Connect to Server" or "Incorrect User ID or Password. Please try again. (1)" ?

If it's the first, then you might have a connection error, probabily you didn't configure the server/client correctly.

If it's the second, then you might try with another account.

If you can, please say more details about your error, it might help.

just FYI the client is not connecting on 127.0.0.1

I have four accounts made on my server. Three put in via MYSQL and one via FluxCP. All of the accounts gave me the erro Incorrect User ID or Password. Please try again. (1) when it actually allowed me to connect yesterday. Nothing has changed in the mean time.

yep, it's not accepting any client.

(First of all, please pardon me, I am just making sure, not pointing that you plagiarized (copied) others' files)

Be careful with the client. is that client you made it by yourself? or you copied someone's?

Because some people did a modification in their clients and dlls so that they put the clientinfo.xml inside the client, not in the data folder anymore. I did it too :D

if you are sure that you have correctly set the clientinfo.xml, then is it loading other grf files? check data.ini.

If so, is it loading YOUR grf file or OTHERS?

And then, would you like to check your firewall, whether it is blocking your server or not? Nah, Firewall should not block connections from localhost to 127.0.0.1 (localhost)

I have double checked my clientinfo with several other threads and It is correct. It is not connecting to 127.0.0.1 at the moment but it will receive the same error.

This is not my data folder/client but it was a free to download from another user of rathena.

To be perfectly honest I have no clue after reading several guides how to create a personal client. I'm pretty lost there. I'm also looking at making a smaller server mostly for me and my friends.

<Just throwing this out there: I wouldn't be against paying someone for their time/help if they offered>

alright, check data.ini

what are the grfs that are being used except data.grf?

open that GRF and get the clientinfo.xml from that grf (better delete it) and get the clientinfo.xml that connects to 127.0.0.1 to the 'data' folder.

btw,

Is that for me?

If you are willing to create a working client and show me how to do it (as you do it) ... I would be willing to discuss compensation for your service.

This issue has been resolved, thanks to the person that helped me :D

The issue was with the client, a new custom client fixed the issue.
