Like title says, I'd like to find back my maps which I mapped years ago and I lost the .gat/rsw files all I have is the mapcache files. Is it possible to extract?

Map cache only stores GATS of maps (.GAT). You cannot recover the .RSW or .GND with just the map_cache.dat. Also note there is no program out there (at least that I know of) that has the ability to extract the .GAT file from map_cache.dat to a location.
