How the Guild Exp works?

Hi,

I'm a little confused. Someone in my server reported an error about the guild experience and I tried to figure how works in rAthena. I was checking the guild_exp.txt of the re folder and I see that to go from level 12 to 13 is necessary 16kk of exp. I killed monsters until I got 17kk and the guild is still level 12. How works this?

Guild data doesn't update constantly like character data. From what I've experienced, it doesn't even update at a regular interval, but somebody that knows the source code can probably explain further. x.x

sincerely i'm not much sure either. apparently the guild level is managed by the char server, and the exp is handled by a timer which is run every 10s -- the timer then sends the guild data to char server who then checks for level & other stuff, updates the data accordingly and sends it back to the map server.
