Password Enryption with md5? but encryption is not active...

Question

Posted

Hi, i have a big problem that make me crazy >.<

i use the client 03-07-2012 with rAthena 15677...

my problem is when i register an account, my password will be encrypted, and the encrypted password is going to change into a md5 hash.

if im going now to register with flux, everything works (BUT ONLY ON FLUX) example:

FLUX:

User: Test

Pass: test

SQL Pass encoded: test

MD5: 098f6bcd4621d373cade4e832627b4f6

Client:

User: Test

Pass: test

Pass will crypted: &5*ä?p´?)809%7

SQL Pass encoded: &5*ä?p´?)809%7

MD5: b50c2ef7e8dcfb1d3c7fe88106d65da8

---------

The Problem is flux cant encrypt the password too and hashing it, how can i disable the encrypt function q.q

Weird...

It works for me tho.

Do you have md5 enabled in your login_athena.conf?

// Store passwords as MD5 hashes instead of plaintext ?

// NOTE: Will not work with clients that use <passwordencrypt>

use_MD5_passwords: yes

Im not quite sure how you can disable it on fluxcp tho. And you shouldn´t disable it in the first place.

I would disable the client account creation in the login_athena.conf

// Can you use _M/_F to make new accounts on the server?

new_account: no
