Monster Sprite/Actor

I'm new in this area of creating monsters. I have some frames made ​​and passed to sprite (.spr), how do I do actions (.act)?

i think you should use this guide by sizenine.its the same cause youll make it as spr and act.

I've read this tutorial but it helped me a lot! I think the way it creates the actions of the monsters are different from the items.
