How do I drag items from the item list and onto my map?

Whenever I click on a certain item, it doesn't seem to do anything.

Click an object in the object menu and then press M to exit the menu. Next wherever ur cursor is on the map press CTRL+left mouse click to spawn the model on ur mouses coordinate. You can watch my browedit tutorials for more interactive lessons.
