But against legitimate DDOS attacks; it is impossible to stop because it will utilize your server's port capacity even though your server is rejecting/dropping the packets. So IPTables does help, but only to a certain extent. The only true way to prevent DDOS is having a load balancer or some sort of filtration system which screens the packets before delivering to the server. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
