Mysql problem.

Hi all, I am trying to create a Ragnarok Private Server and well i downloaded MYSQL 5.0 and when i try to login using

Server Host: local@host "Have tried localhost without the @ and doesnt work".

Username: root

Password: ragnarok

And this is the error that comes up : Could not connect to the specified instance. MySQL error number 2005 Unknown MySQL server host 'local@host' (11004) If you want to check the network connection, Please click the ping button.

Please help me :o

Yes.

Oh wait when i use localhost without the @ the error is this one Access denied for user root' @ 'localhost' (using password:yes)

it's a wrong password.. when you are configuring your mysql. did you set the password correctly.

try using root as password if if doesn't work.just reinstall your mysql.

Didn't work let me reinstall it like you said Thanks for responding.

Same problem. :/

Is there a way too just reset the password or something?

First and foremost using root is not recommended. You should create new sql user(s) instead.
