Running Nemo in Window 7 virtual machine

Question

Posted

I've searched for a solution, but I couldn't find any, so sorry if it has been answered elsewhere

Is it possible to run Nemo in a Windows 7 virtual machine? The error shown below makes it seem I can't, but I wanted to confirm. If that's the case, is there a way to set up a client in a Windows VM?

Thanks in advance for your time 🙂

You can't. Nemo checks it's enviroment and it won't launch if is detected as VM

Sorry that I took so long to answer. I've been trying to make WARP work on Windows 7, but I couldn't, so I resorted to using a modified version of Windows 10 without all the bloatware (called Tiny10 if anyone needs it in the future), and it worked 🙂

It's understandable that WARP won't work on Windows 7, as many software programs have stopped supporting this older version of the operating system for security and compatibility reasons.

Switching to Tiny10 a stripped-down version of Windows 10 is a smart move if you need better performance while still being able to run modern software like WARP.
