The best i think should be ovh. It is cheaper & having ddos protection if i'm not mistaken. Other vos provider u can consider is vps.ag

hi. i'd like to ask if its possible to host using VPN? Like no-ip method and since Philippines doesn't have a stable connection i'd like to use VPN on Singapore or Japan for a fastest connection. is it possible?

i'm not sure on japan. but, i think there is Hong Kong vps which its ping time from Philippines just around 100-120 ms. it should be sufficient enough to reduce / avoid lagging problem.

i see. i guess using VPN has its purpose to only hide my external IP? and not for hosting?

hahahaha.. u can never hide ur external IP.. because the IP will become the server which the client get connect... even if u encrypt ur grf.. the are lots of networking tools can be use to analyze the external / out-coming connection.

just use that when logging the client to the server & we can trace the server IP.

My comment above just stick to the topic title. looking for the best vps. and since u are from PH, i think vps at HK quite good.. but for VPN, i'm not to sure what is the purpose of using it to the vps. and some VPN don't allow certain ports running through. and u must remember, u need to allow connection of login server-port, char server -port & map server-port.. or otherwise the client cannot login into the server.
