You can create a custom texture that uses a reduced size of an existing texture to give a similar effect. Not sure how it would look but you could give it a shot. It's probably not possible since none of the editors or code I found around the web works with anything smaller than what BrowEdit uses (the "brush" size, texture size per se doesn't matter).
