I tried changing my client but it is now not reading the special characters.

The real name of my character is • Developer •

I got the "•" by hitting alt+7

But on my client now my characters name is ?developer?

It seems not reading spaces and special characters. I use nemo in diffing my client but cant find the option on names or fonts for that.

This is the picture. Also the guildname is not showing.

Can anyone help me with this?

// Set the letters/symbols that you want use with the 'char_name_option' option.
// Note: Don't add spaces unless you mean to add 'space' to the list.
char_name_letters: abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ1234567890

Set this to 0 then restart your server

// Manage possible letters/symbol in the name of charater. Control character (0x00-0x1f) are never accepted. Possible values are:
// NOTE: Applies to character, party and guild names.
// 0: no restriction (default)
// 1: only letters/symbols in 'char_name_letters' option.
// 2: Letters/symbols in 'char_name_letters' option are forbidden. All others are possibles.
char_name_option: 1

but also take note that if you're using servertype: primary and langtype: 0 makes those symbols turn into ? so better change your servertype to sakray and langtype to 1 so that the symbols will be shown in your character.

use /showname and it will change the font face to the non-bold version, which lets you see the party names and guild names.

It should be an option to diff in NEMO

Alternatively, you can preload your client with the savedata folder and set /showname to 1 in OptionInfo.lua
