Thank you very much for the concise and detailed setup guide! I used the original post in this tread, along with the wiki in the git repository to successfully setup my server and client! If this forum supports stickies, this thread definitely should be up there. Started out with a completely offline setup (server and client on same machine), then migrated my server to a hosted VPS. It took some experimenting with the import files and IP addresses to get connected, but all is well now. Maybe a separate thread instructing how to configure the server to be public would be a worthwhile link here as well. As others have mentioned in this thread, the file setup.exe seems to be missing in the full kRO client. Maybe it was included at some point? To help newcomers, I think it would be nice to include the link to the open setup thread/download link: Just need to extract that to the new folder, and use it as a replacement for setup.exe

Hi! It took me quite a while, but I started with the Offline setup guide, and modified some of the conf/import IPs to get my hosted server public and connectable. Thanks for the pointer! There were definitely some confusing spots here and there. Now the long game of configuring the server to my liking begins!

I'd also be interested in configuring my server this way. Super fast, no-delay asura strike! First thing I noticed, was that there's a delay on SP recovery after Asura strike by default. A quick google search revealed the following solution to that: It was to modify the file rAthenaRootFolder/db/re/skill_cast_db.txt and replace/set this value: //-- MO_EXTREMITYFIST 271,2000:1750:1500:1250:1000:500:1000:1000:1000:1000,3000:2500:2000:1500:1000,0,0,300000,0,2000:1750:1500:1250:1000:500:1000:1000:1000:1000 After a re-compile, I'm able to spam yggberries right after asura. So one step closer Need to find out how to remove delay after skills, and get insta-cast.

Hello, I've been digging around the forums for a few hours, tried using the search as well, but I haven't found a concise guide to setting up a client to connect to a server. I successfully setup a private rAthena server on a VPS, but I don't know how I should install the client to connect to it. Can someone point me to a thread/guide that describes how to do this? I have the full kRO client downloaded, but I just don't know what to do with it. Thanks in advance.
