Update on that topic:
I created a new guide that shows you all needed steps neccessary to have one login server connect to multiple char- and map-servers basicly to allow your rathena server to have multiple "realms" with potentially different settings (like different rates).
Sidenote it also requires you to setup multiple trunks because of some hardcoded config-paths and multiple dbs because the would otherwise behave weirdly when you try to login to different realms into the the same account/char while on different machines.
Bottom line: The stated tutorial by Cydh is outdated because there is no way to call the char-server.exe and map-server.exe with parameters (allowing for loading different .conf files)
The zip contains a guide in markdown format containing some hopefully helpfull screenshots and a script that starts all found servers if you group all realm-trunks into a parent folder.
