I'm currently working on a client version 2018-06-20 ( pre-renewal ) implementing the 4th job skill savage impact... was able to make the skill work and selectable on the skill window now the issue im having is the skill animation effect. upon doing research i can see that the effect files for the savage impact is located at texture/effect on my grf file.. is there a way to code this through skilleffectinfolist.lub so that my shc_savage_impact skill will display this effect? Or if there is any alternative can you please tell me how will i be able to do it? currently im customizing a pre-renewal server and implement some specific 4th job skills. thank you

I solved the issue by changing the skill id on all of the files above... for some reason it seems that in the pre-renewal or atleast on my client version which is 20180620 the skillid is not being read properly... so i refer to this thing here Skill_ID_Rules · rathena/rathena Wiki · GitHub just read this an re-adjust all the skill id that you want to reimplement if someone wants to do as well in their pre-renewal server. now i can import some 4th job skills to my pre-renewal server. did my countless theor tried and finally succeed somehow.

can you guys tell me what other parts i have missed or failed to do so basically what i did so far is include the skill at db/pre-re/skill_db.yml next one is imported the sprite, bmp & wav files of shc_savage_impact to a new grf ( which is loaded first at data.ini ) bmp: and also update my skillinfoz on the grf so that savage impact will be there sprite: wav after this i updated my skillinfoz on my data.grf skillid.lub: skillinfolist.lub: skilldescript.lub: as for skilltreeview.lub i dont need to add it to a job since im planning this skill to be accessible by equipping an item or using a card but just in case i did updated my skilltreeview.lub: end result is nothing happen... i wasnt able to get the skill i test it out with a 3rd job skill it did work with it dont know how it doesnt work with a 4th job skill really need your guidance as i am in a slump here badly.. thank you very much *UPDATE 11/13/2024* - i tried using @useskill and it did work the only issue here is the effect animation and the sound is different and not realling showing up in my alt + s window

so the change in skill_db mention in there. i need to put them at the doc/skill_db.txt?

So was digging through my research and found this one source: now what i cant understand here is this part I dont know where to put this changes tried finding it all i can find was skill_damage_db.txt & skill_db.yml any helps please? also if you have the grace i want to understand further the number part like 79,9,8 i dont know what does it do but this one completely optional i just want to understan what it does n

i was able to get the gist of it... i tried transferring over the savage impact skill and make it useable through a card ( for testing purposes ) but the thing is it's not working im having this error on my end. can you help me with this? i did lots of research but i guess im stuck its really sucks for me to ask you of this but can you give me example as for how to completely transfer over 1 skill from 4th job to Pre_Renewal? also btw 3rd job skills works fine i dont need to do anything errors im getting I was able to make the 3rd job skills work since i dont need to change anything as they are implemente already in the skill db on pre-renewal folder

so im done with setting up my server from rAthena -> SQL -> Client Side -> Setting rAthena for Pre-Renewal now im in the customization part. I have figure out how to make custom cards / items now what im trying to do is implement some specific stuffs from renewal... is there any way to implement skills ( not the job ) but specific skills only from 3rd & 4th job from renewal to pre-renewal server? thank you very much for those who will answer. been browsing for like 5 hours now all i can see is that 3rd and 4th job is disabled in pre-renewal but i really dont want the 3rd and 4th job itself i just want some specific skills to be implement to some items when the players wear that item. or add it to my database so i can give some world boss that ill be customizing some 3rd / 4th job skills. tnx for this i already figured it out just working on the client side having a hard time doing the translation the guides are very outdated and the files are not the same as those in the guides any suggestion so i can get past over this?

so i have setup my rAthena server side now i need to setup client side.. after reading tons of guides cant find something that will actually help me... pretty much im having problem with the translation. any help? also server that im trying to set up is a pre-renwal where i can implement some stuff from the renewal...

Trying this for the first time rAthena completely newbie with this stuff so far just reading some stuffs online to try to successfully setup my server from scratch im using windows 10 and im done with the compiling and trying to setup mysql workbench so im receiving this two errors any assistance will do... also is there any guide i can completely setup rathena or my own private server from scratch i want it at pre-renewal... thank you very much for the kind hearted ones who will guide me to the right path

when i double click rathena wsl it just opens up then automatically close cannot type the next step... any help? im using winows 10 pro
