As the topic title suggests, I'm using the 2012-04-10 client, and all custom monster sprites are causing a client crash.

I'm using the following diffs:

Allow Chat Flood

Always Call SelectKoreaClientInfo()

Chat @-Bug

Custom Window Title

Disabled 1rar1 & 1sak1

Disable 4 Letter User Character Limit

Disable 4 Letter UserID Limit

Disable 4 Letter User Password Limit

Disable Hallucination Wavy Screen

Disable HShield

Disable Nagle Algorithm

Disable RagexeRE Filename Check

Disable Swear Filter

Enable DNS Support

Enable Multiple GRFs

Enable Title Bar Menu

Extended Chat Box

Extended Chat Room Box

Extended PM Box

Fix Camera Angles Full

Ignore Missing File Errors

Ignore MIssing Palette Errors

Increase Headgear View ID

Increase Zoom Out 75%

Load LUA Before LUB

Read Data Folder First

Read msgstringtable.txt

Read questid2display.txt

Remove Gravity Ads

Remove Gravity Logo

Remove Login Auto Close

Remove Serial Display

Restore Login Window

Skip License Screen

Skip Packet Header Obfuscation

Translate Client Into English

Use Ragnarok Icon

I'm able to get in-game fine, packet version is correct. I updated my .lua files that handle custom monster sprites in the 2011 RE clients, but haven't seen/found anything stating that there's anything different needing to be done for adding custom monsters.

If you're able to assist in the matter, I'd be most grateful. Thank you!

Try to not use the 'Read LUA then LUB' diff, and you have to use the LUB version for your client, a simple save-as in npp can do the conversion though.

Edit/Update:

Doesn't work even with "Read LUA before LUB", with the .lub files inside or outside of the GRF.

Addendum: I'm using the proper lua files for my client. I'm not receiving any errors. It simply freezes the game client when any custom monster sprite comes on screen.

Weird.. all the other files seem to work fine as .luas. Ack! I'll try that, thank you nanakiwurtz!

@_@;

Figured it out..

data/luafiles514/lua files/ is the new path. Sheesh.

Thanks to Judas' GRF.

The diff I used works fine for reading out of the data folder AND reading lua before lub, though! :D
