Character Deletion

I'm looking for a REAL solution here.

So, as you might be aware already, the character deletion is not possible if a real birthdate has been set (not 00000000)

Now it has always been told "change your langtype to 1 or 10" which "fixes" the issue.
Well NO, this isn't a real fix, all it does is simply using the email adress for deletion again, rather than the birthdate.

There are 2 important points you guys are missing here:
1. Players are able to delete the character while still using the email adress, rather than birthdate by simply changing the langtype within the clientinfo (this is always possible if a player is aware about it)
2. Every langtype different than 0, breaks tons of features, such as Guild Tip, showing wrong info on Kafra Shop or even breaking it completly. It also breaks Tip of the Day, and much much more. You guys should be aware about that, as langtype 0 is korean.

I'm looking for an actual solution here, it can't be possible that the client isn't able to delete a character, something must be wrong here, maybe on the packets sent from rAthena, or within the rAthena core itself

Could anyone please look into this matter?

Clients having this issue: 2012/04/10 and 2012/04/18a

So 2012/04/10 is the "officialy supported client" by rathena.
And it would be great if such an important feature like the deletion of a character would actually work correctly.

A "real fix" is to set the birthdate on your CP when someone registers. Unfortunately this haxed-waxed client thing we use has many problems and since we don't have it's source we can't do much about it. This is exactly why I was protesting to make our own client by merging the existing client projects...

On server side maybe it is possible to enable only 1 way of deleting the character, but again, the client may make things hard...

Btw as of fall, we recommend the 2013 client. Is it possible for you to use it?

I'm not sure if this is different for a 2012 client but with my 2013-08-07 client if you use the YYMMDD instead of what the client is asking for which is YYYY-MM-DD deletions works as normal.

Okay...

Want to use lagtype 0, force your players to use a birth date when they register and allow them to see it on the control panel. (Use flux.)

If your birth date is the 10th of january 1980, when you delet a character and you get the birthdate prompt input the following YYMMDD --> 800110 and you'll be able to delete the char.

Kind regards.

Uhm...

New registered members do already enter their birthdate upon registration. I've implemented that a long time ago.
If you read my actual issue report, you would see that i've said that it's not working IF A REAL BIRTHDAY HAS BEEN SET.
And ive tested the 2013 client several times already and never managed to get everything to work.

The current clients are all unstable and have bugged features.
I'm not willing to release such a mess.

changing langtype from 0 to 1 it will delete your character easily without inputting any data. using 2013-08-07 client.

Weird, now it's messed up again... i always get the message:
"You cannot delete this character at the moment."

But i don't know what's the actual issue.
I always get this message, no matter what account type, nor if i've entered the birthdate correct or wrong.

Anyone knows the issue this time?

Sidenote:
I hate the new clients, sigh*
