Hello all,

I have an extra VPS I'd like to share out to some dedicated individuals that would like to start their own server up.

About 10 years ago I hosted a ragnarok server called 'NightLifeRO', but it was hacked beyond all recovery and I had other things to focus on- so it was closed. That server was using windows server 2003, and was not very secure- to say the least. Since then, I've began a career in linux systems administration and would like to see one of those servers grow again and contribute with what I can.

I currently have the server up and running. It's a fresh compiled copy from trunk running on CentOS, and you can connect to it using the following details:

Hostname: ro.deadswans.com

Port:6900

Version:(doesnt matter, you can put 20 if you really want to use a version.)

Registration is currently open using the old _M and _F syntax.

If anyone wants to start a project, I'd like to help with the server side administration but leave the GRF/client creation and player administration up to you.

I'd also be willing to install ROCP, web server, email server, whatever is necessary to get the project going- but I need someone excited about supporting the player base and someone with the time to stay online to attract that player base.

Reply if you're interested in working on this. :)

Sincerely,

Albert
