Mage spells seem to be missing effect animations.

While in the training grounds, testing the Mage class, the three available spells don't seem to have effects.

The little circle/aura appears beneath the character while casting, but no other visible effects.

Not sure if I have something misconfigured, not really sure where to start looking.

Any advice greatly appreciated.

A few players on my server have reported that mage spells do not have any animation/visual effect.

 

skill animations cause when my friend does meteor storm he just stands
there and there comes a circle that does damage after 5 seconds

Well, the solution finally dawned on me last night.

Run setup.exe, second tab, enable 'Effects'. >_>
