Me Again :S

Encountered some more problems, I want to change my server from local host to where others may connect even though It's only going to be 2 people (my laptop is being the Server for it at the moment :P ) could someone please redirect me to a post containing this information.

And also, when I now log onto my server (after recompiling) I can type, Yet If i click enter it doesn't send it only stays in that box :S where as before i recompiled i could send messages & do commands and such

Please help me, thankyou all very much!

Hi. I'm working on creating my own server too and I can't work out how to get my friends to log in successfully either..

I sent them clientinfo and they are using the same client as me with a fully updated kro folder..

Any help appreciated! Thanks!

Well I can log in and play on my server fine, so I sent kro, clientinfo and the client to my friend so he could play too. I made him an account to login with but whenever he tries it just says failed to connect to server..

Okay, May i explain the exact problem before posting screenies? (Having a little trouble with posting them :S)

1) The first "Problem" Is the port forwarding, though I may be able to find a guide for that and I don't expect it nicely served up on a plate for me!!

2) The problem once in the server, from the host computer is when I try to use any commands of any sort - they don't work. Not as in I don't have any commands, as I am the Admin(level 99GM) of this server. It's as if, the commands just don't enter (by commands, I mean... ALT+V/ ALT+Q Them sort)

That is one part of the problem.

This is the other card, when you enter a message, as if you were to start talking to someone, or about to type a / or @ command in, you can type the message or command fine. You just cannot enter it. If you click enter, the command stays in the Chat interface, and never leaves, of course you can get rid of it with backspace, but the command just doesn't work.

Does this make any sence?...

Please post back if there is some way I can explain it more thoroughly...

And thankyou!

(By the way, member "maztheman" was pretending to me whilst I was busy, he is my friend, the one that needs the ports forwarding for) :) Thankyou!

Any errors after compiling? based on what you said that after you compile its starting messing up i think you did something wrong in your files before you compile better to show errors so i can see it

There were no errors.. at all it went smooth and errorlessly, It could possibly be the client as its rather outdated....? But I cant seem to get a new 2012 client to work. they just show errors -.-
