use rAthena - Revision 16380

use Kro Client last update

use 2012-04-10aRagexeRE.exe

I can login - select character but it can't go to map.

There are so many threads about this...

Go to your mmo.h located in rathena/scr/common

Search for

#ifndef PACKETVER

#define PACKETVER 20xxxxxx

//#define PACKETVER 20111116

and replace

#define PACKETVER 20xxxxxx

with your client date.

Since you are using 2012-04-10 it would be

#define PACKETVER 20120410

Save and recompile.

Next step would be editing the packet_db.txt.

with your client date.

Since you are using 2012-04-10 it would be

#define PACKETVER 20120410

Save and recompile.

Next step would be editing the packet_db.txt.

sir?where did you get 2012-04-10aRagexeRE_J.exe?did you diff that?

i have the same problem..ive done everything and im accurate that ive done it correctly and accordingly..but still it doesnt work..so i guess the problem is theclient..i was using 2011-09-06aRagexeRE.exe.patched.exe thank you please help

Of the problem is the 2011-09-06 ragexe! NOT!!! The exe works as I myself am using it.

I somehow doubt it. Because you couldn´t even find the exe that adseej posted in this topic.

- packet_db.txt:

Insert the right packets and set "packet_db_ver:" to your version.

- mmo.h:

Insert your client date correctly

- recompile

- dif the exe with packetheader obfuscation

And please don´t crosspost and stay in one topic.

wow!thank you very much..i diff it and it started to function normally now..i can play now..running my server..and using my client 2011-09-06..so my brother wanted to use this too..so how could we connect..i pass him my ro folder it includes my client..i edited the clientinfo.xml and sclientinfo.xml to make sure..but it says failed to connect to server..and another thing..my brother used his client but its 2008-05-28a_alt_pv9data_fdr..it connected..the ip address also apeared in my running server..but it reaches character selected..it has lots of error,,im aware that it is not ragnarokexeRE thats why its not working..but my issure here is why

RE didnt connected while 2008-05-28 i thnk its sakray connected? please help

Now thats pretty weird because 2011-09-06 normally wont work with read data folder first.

You would have to make your data folder into a grf and edit the data.ini.

Give that to your brother and it should work fine.

The really wierd part is that you can play with that setup and your brother can´t.

Well just get grf builder from here: http://ratemyserver.net/index.php?page=download_tool

and make your data folder into a grf.

i also downloaded the grf part of 2008-05-28grf..i was a bit confused...sorry

my computer has the server running

my computer runs the client well..connected..no errors

my brother's - cannot connect 2011-09-06 to login/char/map

my brother's - 2008-05-28a_alt_pv9data_fdr to login/char/but explodes lots of errors and only error in map after pressing entering after choosing character..

Like I already said.

1. Make your data folder into a grf file.

2. List the grf in the data.ini.

3. Give the grf + exe + data.ini to your brother

4. Profit!?

And ofc he can´t connect with the 2011 client. Because that client normally can´t read the data folder.

And if the client can´t read the data folder, it won´t be able to read the clientinfo aswell. Thus he won´t even reach your server.

My real concern currently is how you can connect to your server if you don´t have a grf and use that client...
