Problem Custom Map

Hi,

I have a problem when I insert a map, I tried all the guides on the web, but when I start the server, written out in the map that the map I add has been eliminated.

Can someone kindly help me out?

1. Open WeeMapCache.exe

2. After you open WeeMapCache, Open map_cache.dat

3. After you load map_cache.dat, Click "File" then click the custom map you have ".gat".

4. Click Save As "map_cache.dat"

5. Open Map_index in your db folder.

6. Try inserting the name of your map below in any map, example xmas_in .

7. After you insert, click X then save..

8. Open maps_athena.conf

9. Insert also the name of the map, example again below xmas_in. ( map: mymap )

10. Click X then Save.

11. Be sure the the ".gat, .rsw, .gnd and .extra" is in the data folder (where you can edit your idnum)

12. Restart your server and be sure every name fits all. (Must not be TYPO or anything, MUST be the same)

13. *Don't rename the custom map*

14. REstart your server and finished !

check this things before proceeding to Paulinds guide

1. be sure your map's name doesn't exceed 11 characters (letters,numbers,signs)

2. as Paulinds say -"Don't rename the custom map" = don't rename your map manually (use browedit to rename it in case you want to)

do you have all the map files?

.rsw, .gat, .gnd (.extra) files of your map

no just the gat.

but add all the files in your data folder. such as .rws,.gat,gnd

is in the folder there are all the files, but I get the same error.

these files they had an old server and they worked.

what could be causing this?

except for the extra files
