Starting a server and files needed

Question

Posted

Hey guys, i'm new here.

It's been a long time since last time i played RO, but i really miss those old times.

Back in the day i used to play around with eAthena,Cronus emulator and stuff and was really cool, i was a kid but i used to setup a local server with friends and have some fun.

Things changed apparently and i'm trying to learn those stuff again. As a developer ain't got problems with compilling emulator or even setup a linux server, piece of cake. But i don't remember how to proceed then, i don't even know where download the full cliente tho.

So i have some questions :

  • Where and what client should i download?
  • Where i can find a good complete tutorial from scratch
  • Is it illegal to setup a private RO server? I'm thinking in setup a new one and host in a vps

I'm sorry if i posted in wrong place. Thank you in advance guys.

as for your question reguarding if it is legal or not  it is a difficult question to answer and a topic on that can be found by searching the forums.

Thank you friend, one mor question about the client. They say in the guide to download the last data from this link ~ http://svn6.assembla.com/svn/ClientSide/ ~ but i got a 404 in there
