I'm interested in using the item link (the one you put with the alt+left click in chat) in scripts and so I need to know the hidden text behind that feature. More than that I need to know how it works. That's why I need your help there.
I already know that the text the server receives is '<ITEM>???????`??`??`??`??</ITEM>', the ? being numbers or characters refering to the item linked.
I also noticed this can't be used directly in game.
So I have 2 questions left,
How does the text refer to the item?
And is it possible to use this feature from a NPC? Since it seems you can't link the item by typing the hidden text.
