Character Selection, failed to connect to server

Hi,

 

I'm having this trouble when setting up my server, it seems I can't go into character selection screen, there's no problem when entering my login, but after selecting server, it supposed to go to character selection, but there's only window says "Failed to connect to server"

 

I already searched here at the forum, it seems few people also have this problem, but none of the solution works for me.

 

Can any of you help me with this ?

How your subnet_athena is configurated?

 

 

example

subnet: 255.0.0.0:250.210.169.156:250.210.169.156

and not

subnet: 255.0.0.0:localhost:localhost

 

and your map_athena should have the IP of your server, not localhost. I had this error too and this fix it.

try to check your login and char server they should look similar this:

 

Login Server

 

Char Server

 

If not the try to revisit your login-server, char-server, and map-server config files.
