its a shame that patcher skins don't support .gif files... i planned to put little animations in my future patcher skin projects but oh well. I guess the hover buttons will do.
-
how did you add those slideshow? Can you pm me for that please.
if you're asking how to do a slideshow thingy in your previews then animate it in whatever software you're comfortable with then save as .gif, other than that, its on the scripting/configuration of your patcher.
@OP:
You should pick a much better render of that man (gunslinger) on the top right side of the skin because he looks choppy. Another thing is that you should pick when and where to put those white glows/lights cause it eats away some sections of your design. If it were me though, I would just remove those glows and choose a "not-a-rich-black" black color. I would also slightly tweak the color of your interface into something lighter (a little light than the original color). But that's just me.
Overall I like your creativity so just keep it up

oh thanks for the answers
one last question though, is the loading bar's skin changeable?

Welcome to rA Marionimous! Since you're into graphics based stuff, have you thought about mapping, or spriting? We have lots of resources available that teaches users how to do both of these.
yes im highly intrested in mapping and spriting and i'm currently learning all of it through the available guides here and to some other sites

well seems that i just have to wait for it to support then
anyways, is there a templete when making skins for patchers? is there some kind of layout i need to follow in order to make patcher skins? cause i've seen some works and it seems like they can manipulate where to put the loading/progress bar, news section (some doesn't even have one), etc.

Can patcher skins handle flash animations? Like animations for buttons and or some other things?

you really know how to use custom brushes
your layout and execution of brushes in the background makes your loading screen stand out.
also the fonts you used in your screens make it more lively cause both compliments each other really well.

A design so simple that its comfortable to look at while the game is loading. Not cluttered yet not too empty. But there is always a room for improvement like some funky fonts that will match the color theme and style. Though I really like this
P.S. At first I thought you drew the pics, until I saw your reply

I like your design. Its colorful and it has this girlish atmosphere into it that makes it so cute. Hope you can make some more layouts

a fake letter...
so many wrong grammars and spelling in there.
there are letters that should be capitalized.
and i agree with what the people above my post said.

I think one of the most important factor is that you have to let your players know that your server is alive. Not by having thousands of players but by having an active and lively administrators and community. Owners should carefully pick out their GM's in order to avoid corruption. One who can be trusted and patient at all times. They should also hire an event planner cause one person can't handle thinking and implementing at the same time (in my experience anyway). A good server always communicate with their players, whether it be the news of a new update or a notification for a new event, servers should always inform the players what is happening around the game they're playing instead of just "Oh we have a surprise event guys!". Also an active forum community would help alot too.
These things in my opinion are secondary in nature:
- Beautiful website
- Hassle-free registration
- Freebies of some sort
- Rates
- Features

- Beautiful website

I'm a newcomer in rAthena and a moderate player of Ragnarok Online back in the days. I had an urge of playing RO again but this time, not the official one. Just want to have fun and all, I suddenly got excited to play it again after a few years cause they say theres a 3rd job now so..
I'm a graphic artist both at heart and my job. I want to expand my horizons by making something for the Ragnarok community, so please take care of me and I hope I can meet and become friends with fellow graphic artists here
