Okay, so I'm a newbie (Like you had to guess ), and I've got my server working, revision 16463. I'm really having a hard time with loading my patched renewal exe, version 20110315 into kro client 20120509, which I'm sure the community is used to hearing by now. Here's what I'm running into:
"cannot open system/iteminfo.lub:no such file or directory
and
iteminfo file init"
Do I need to use a different kRO client for this renewal patch 20110315?
I've tried so many LUA and LUB files I've lost count. I know I'm relatively close to making the client work, but unfortunately we haven't been able to due to this error. I use Windows 7, and the only way I can even get the client to run properly is if I troubleshoot compatibility and run the program with windows xp service pack 2 or 3 (I shouldn't have to do that, I know there's something I'm mission in terms of version files). That's when I see the error noted above. If I try to run the client normally, even with compatibility settings applied, the program does NOTHING, I don't even see the program execute.
I'm hitting my head so hard against the wall right now, and all I'm looking for is a client to at least be able to RUN.
I'm willing to start fresh once again (on a different client version if need be). I still can only get as far as the error above... which version should I be using for LUB files on the 20110315 renewal client? And should I be using LUB files specifically?
All I really need is a renewal client to connect to my private server. I want to use 20110315 because I heard it was the most stable, that and it works with Alexandria's Data Folder.
I'm sorry if I sound confusing, I've been on this client setup for 3 days now and haven't found a solution. If anyone can help or provide me with the files needed and/or even a link to the proper LUB files (and perhaps a more DETAILED tutorial about implementing the proper exe to the proper client), I would really appreciate it.
My db version noted is 23.
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO PM ME I WOULD LOVE TO GET THIS UP AND RUNNING, THANKS!
