I grabbed the latest ea version and set it up on my local machine. The source comment over PACKETVER states that ea supports clients up to 20110928 so I set that value. I also changed the packet_ver in packet_db.txt to 26/default. I then grabbed the 2011-09-28aRagexeRE.rgz file from the official kRO repository, extracted the client and diffed it with Shin's Diff Patcher. Upon connection the server tells me 'Disconnecting session #3 with unknown packet version'. I then tried to force ea to use packet_ver 26 by modyfiing the function 'clif_guess_PacketVer' to return 26. EA receives an 'unsupported packet (packet 0x08a2, 19 bytes received)'.
Does someone have a clue what I'm missing? Langtype problems maybe? Any newer packet_db that I need?
