[help how to add custom npcs ?]

hello I know this is a noob question but.

I got my server up and added my maps

 

now I wanna add custom npcs like stat reseter. job changer. stylist. arrow dealer. tool dealer. warper. heal+buff npcs ect

 

all servers have mostly the same ones so how do I get those? do I download them from a certain place? and how to add them into my main town and change them

If you wanna learn how to make your own Custom Npc script.. try google.. If you too lazy and wanna start stuffing your map with npc fast

look for it at script release section.. as for adding/activating the npc script u already have... go to trunk/npc/scripts_custom.conf and 

write down "npc: npc/{the file name that you put the script in}/{the script name}" at any new line...

as you can see in the scripts_custom.conf.. there are many inactive (line with "//" infront) npc script.. you can remove the "//".. but note this.. only mess with the "//"

in the basic script group.. the other need more work to do.. since you still new to this stuff.. dont mess with them for you own good..

jika di jalankan selalu Failed To connect server seperti tidak membaca Clientinfo.xml nya apa ada yang salah dengan diff saya?

 

Oh ea.. sudakah anda memperbaharui clientinfo.xml anda? tukar version ke "45" dan ip sama ada ip wan anda atau "127.0.0.1"

dan compress semula .grf anda..

tukar version di "Server\trunk\src\common\mmo.h"

 

Adakah anda telah mengedit semua Ip, memadam "//" dan menukar user dan password di file tersebut?

pastikan selepas mengedit semua file itu anda recompile semula "rathena-x.sln"

Hey adam... look at your map_athena.conf, scroll down at the last line and try edit this..

tell me if it change anything or not.. if new error show up or it just make thing worse.. change it back, delete the "//"

 

im more to like "experimenting first, fix later" on the things related.. cuz.. once this fix my "duplicated npc" in my npc file..

I also added my account name in clientinfo and still doesn't work

well there u have it a game master account... Game master is just like other player but they can use some "comment" that normal player cant use...

pulse.. if you enable the GM robe or something at the diff option.. your GM character will look different.. 

or.. did u change the group id in the login table? or the char id in the char table?

But mine just did.. ._. strange huh.. i tried deleting the morroc warp at the pre and re before.. both pre and re show an error about the morroc missing..

anyway this problem solved by adding "//" at the duplicated line..

did u already recompile after you change anything? sorry if i keep asking some idiot question.. cuz i dont know what you change or updated to make this error show up... it will be way easier if i have the whole file.. i can check it by myself.. if u know what i mean..

 

Back to the topic... its kinda strange because.. my map_conf is empty.. did u use renewal or pre renewal?

there are like sooo many item id there listed in a group..

maybe you mess up something there...

 

or you just disabled some item recently in the item_db.txt..

just like what the "info" said... u use the wrong packet version~ i give up on the 2013-08-14Ragexe because i cant find any packet version for it.. im using "2013-08-07Ragexe" now.. because the default packet db for the 2013 client compatible with it... or something.. god i just not good at explaining stuff..

Read the error and check the file mention in it.. something wrong with the script in the "npc" that u just added... can u upload the "map_conf.txt" so people can check if anything wrong in it..

I dont know if this is legal.. because i didn't find any script for pet shop lel..

 

Pet Shop contain:

-Taming Item

-Armor for pet (called armor instead of tool because i didn't put incubator for sell)

-Pet Food

-Pet Eggs

 

The item are overcharged because of the officiall price??.. if set to lower price.. u will get a discounted buying price warning..

 

For people who don't know where to put this script.. put it in your trunk/npc/custom/...

search for a script called "scripts_custom.conf" in the npc file...

add this " npc: npc/custom/Pet Master Shop.txt " in a new line.. at the bottom or anywhere.. as long as you don't put "//" infront of it..

 

oh.. if you got any problem with the item... that mean the item is on disabled/comment line, in the item_db.txt in the trunk/db file..

because i use the event and cash pet and food in this script and it was availablele in the shop...

This happen when i tried to make an assassin clan warp.. i already change the "morroc_field.txt" back to its original... but some how.. the map server keep reading the same file in re and pre-re file.. and make it look as if the character was duplicated... i just dont know what to do.. im still new to this kind of stuff.. can some one help me?

 

Nvm.. solved it..

 

i just change the morroc warp line to comment in the Warp script.. in both re and pre-re file.. =w= i kinda got that idea a few second after posting this topic.. now i feel stupid..

Did u got Rejected from server or Fail to connect.. that mean u put the wrong ip in ur clientinfo.. if u got rejected from server.. either u mess up ur Packet version.. or ur ip banned.. make sure to check ur subnet_athena.conf.. I got same problem before.. because

MD5 = false<---- i put this on "true" in the loki.ini

try double check everything.. related to client version, packet version and ip setting
